I could actually see BtVS as a cartoon because it's all about demons and vampires and stuff from horror movies but if anyone here is a Buffy fan they'd know it's not scary... I hope no Buffy fan is scared by it.<br/><br/>Anyone who's seen this would immediately know this is definitely for kids that are younger than original Buffy fans. You maybe wondering why I took a look at it, it was because I wanted to see how another incarnation of Buffy would be... well it could've been ####... and it wasn't as good as the original of course.<br/><br/>Joss Whedon should've made another live-action spin-off like Faith The Vampire Slayer which would be much more interesting than Buffy not that Buffy's Boring it's either that or a spin-off of Angel called Spike... Wow if Joss Whedon is reading this (which I doubt) He just got another 2 Series' on his hands.<br/><br/>Giselle Loren is a great Sarah Michelle Gellar voice impressionist to be honest I couldn't tell the difference between the 2 until I looked at the cast.<br/><br/>They sort of ruined Xander's Character in this but besides him that's it he's more bumbling in this then in the other Series when he's the one that cracks corny jokes in the library (I'm only referencing Season's 1 2 and 3) but in this they completely missed his character... well kids wouldn't have understood 7/8 of his jokes so the whole talk about me actually seen BtVS as a cartoon just for the effects.<br/><br/>Joss Whedon this is your worst show... if it was made
The title of this 4-minute movie basically says it all. this 4-minute cartoon is an animated take on the successful Buffy television series that was done roughly one year after the live action series ended. They got basically all the actors from the "real" series voicing their animated selves in here, with one exception: Sarah Michelle Gellar was not on board to voice the title character. And while it looked okay early on, the ending was really strange with Buffy being abducted by a huge black dragon-like creature, but manages not to get swallowed and opens the beast's moth from inside before the film ends. This had really nothing to do with Buffy the way we know her. Good for them trying to take a different route as they could certainly not have topped the live action series anyway, but I don't think this was the right way to go. Anyway, maybe Buffy got swallowed after the film ended as this was not taken up for further episodes and stayed a one-time short movie. I am not too mad about it because judging from this one here, I would not have been too interested in more episodes. Not recommended.
